7. Game of Thrones season 7
- Audience Score: 81%
- Critics Score: 94%
Game of Thrones season 7 is the second-lowest-rated season based on its Rotten Tomatoes score, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. Although the show and story quality started to dip toward the end of the show’s run, Game of Thrones season 7 is still quite a good season.
The season featured only seven episodes, three episodes fewer than the previous seasons. It feels a bit rushed compared to the earlier seasons. So much ground is covered in each episode, and it makes some of the early episodes of the series feel stagnant.
In season 7, all of the living Stark children reunited at Winterfell. Daenerys lands in Westeros and meets up with Jon Snow. She travels beyond the Wall but whoops, she loses a dragon in the process. Sorry, Viserion. Dany also suffered major losses while she tried to make peace in the Seven Kingdoms. She also introduced the Lannisters to her dragons and nearly killed Jaime.
A lot happens in Game of Thrones season 7, but it’s a little too rock-and-roll. The pacing is wrong. It feels rushed at times, despite a lot of the setup from previous seasons finally paying off.
