There are already two live-action Attack on Titan movies

Attack on Titan, a hugely popular anime series based on the manga by Hajime Isayama, just wrapped up after nearly a decade on the air. The anime, about humanity’s desperate fight against a race of bloodthirsty giants, was an enormous breakout hit, and fans may want more. If that includes you, you may be interested to know that Shinji Higuchi directed a pair of live-action Attack on Titan movies released back in 2015.
The titles for these movies (which are really two parts of one bigger movie) are Attack on Titan: Crimson Bow and Arrow and Attack on Titan: The Movie – Part 2: End of the World. These Japanese-language movies roughly adapt the early parts of the Attack on Titan, albeit with a lot of changes. Characters like Levi do not appear, the relationship between Eren and Mikasa is very different, and a new character named Shikishima is vitally important to the plot. The movies take place entirely on Paradis Island; the story never expands out to Marley like it does in the manga and anime.
The second movie ends with a post-credits scene hinting at more to come, but that never happened. However, Hollywood may be working on a live-action Attack on Titan movie of its own…
Hollywood is working on another live-action Attack on Titan movie
In 2018, Variety reported that Andy Muschietti — the director of the IT movies as well as The Flash — was directing an Attack on Titan movie. Might there be a return to Paradis in our future?
Well, maybe. We haven’t heard much of anything about the movie since that initial announcement. Muschietti has since signed on to direct a remake of the werewolf horror film The Howling for Netflix. It could be that he’s putting off Attack on Titan, or it could be that the project is is limbo. Perhaps the interest around the finale of the anime will get things moving again.
