Criston Cole: Can’t stand to hear “no”

Cripsy Cole gets a pass on the Thanksgiving invite.

Sure, his skill with a sword might come in handy for carving the turkey, but the man can’t quite stomach the word “no.” Gods forbid if a polite suggestion to pass the cranberry sauce escalates into a heated debate that ends up with someone bleeding over the mashed potatoes.

While his fighting skills are pretty commendable, I’m not looking to turn my dinner table into a battlefield; I already have a set of 6-year-old identical twin daughters that turn my house into Helm’s Deep on an ordinary weekday night. I don’t need a third child in my house. Inviting Cole could transform a simple disagreement over your aunt’s stuffing recipe into a full-blown civil war.

And there you have it. I hope my guest list created from some of our favorite House of the Dragon characters gives you some giggles, inspiration, and plenty of imagery this Thanksgiving. Who would you invite to your Thanksgiving dinner?
