Game of Thrones fans have been waiting patiently for both House of the Dragon season 3 as well as the debut of the upcoming spinoff A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Both series are set for release on HBO next year, and there have been a lot of exciting updates about the Dunk and Egg prequel series lately, including that seasons 2 and 3 are reportedly already in the works.
While some fans have been feeling a certain kind of way about A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, especially since the episode count and lengths have left much to be desired, a new casting update should certainly pique everyone's interest. One of the breakout stars of HBO's Dune prequel series Dune: Prophecy will be making her way to Westeros in a major new role.
Chloe Lea joins A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms cast
According to Redanian Intelligence, Dune: Prophecy star Chloe Lea will appear in the first season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms as Dunk's childhood friend named Rafe. The inclusion of this character suggestions that the series will employ the use of flashbacks, specifically back to when younger Dunk was in King's Langing's Flea Bottom prior to meeting Ser Arlan of Pennytree.

The prospect of flashbacks should be an exciting one to fans, since that confirms that the narrative scope is far wider than we might have originally assumed. It's a prequel series, sure, but we're now slated to see even further in the past for these characters. The options are endless when it comes to the kind of flashbacks we could be getting and the guest stars that could be in them.
Even though we pretty much know who to expect to see in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, there are clearly still some surprises in store that we haven't heard about. Lea's casting in the series is amazing news, especially following her breakthrough role in Dune: Prophecy's own first season on HBO. She played a pivotal role in that prequel series, though her character didn't have a happy ending.
Lea played Sister Lila in Dune: Prophecy, a young acolyte at the Sisterhood School, whose backstory was rather depressing and full of mystery. While Lila seemingly dies early on in the season, she later comes back to life, but she ultimately doesn't survive the season in a way that you would expect. Lila's no longer in control of her own body, as she's being used as a means to help the Sisterhood rescue itself from ruin. It's a shame because Lila was a great character, but who knows what season 2 holds.
Beyond Dune: Prophecy, the 19-year-old British actress has also appeared in titles like Great Expectations, Foundation, The Dumping Ground, and Katy. Although she will appear in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, it's unclear in what capacity. Given the first season only contains six episodes, it's unlikely she will appear as more than a guest star. But we'll have to wait and see!
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will make its premiere on HBO in early 2026.
