Fandom Madness 2025: Vote for your favorite characters in our Sweet 16!

We're three rounds deep into the 2025 Fandom Madness tournament, where we pit characters from the worlds of sci-fi, fantasy, movies, books and TV against each other until only one is left standing. We're down to our Sweet 16, where characters from series like Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, The Wheel of Time, the Marvel Cinematic Universe and more will battle for supremacy.

Who advances to the Elite 8? That is entirely up to you. Check out our newest bracket below, and then head to the polls!

The voting criteria is simple. Vote for whatever character you like, for whatever reason you like. This isn't a "who would beat who in a fight" kind of poll...unless you want it to be. It's just as valid to vote based on who you would rather get a drink with, or who has the better catch phrase, or who you would most trust to bring in your mail when you're on vacation. It's wide open.

We're trying to roughly track the progress of Fandom Madness with the actual March Madness tournament, which is currently raging on. Here's the schedule for the rest of the tournament:

• First Round: March 20-21 (DONE)
• Second Round: March 24-26 (DONE)
• Sweet 16: March 27-28
• Elite Eight: March 29-31
• Final Four: April 4-5
• Fandom championship game: April 7

Last year, Aang of Avatar: The Last Airbender won the whole shebang, joining past winners like Moiraine, Daenerys Targaryen, and Aziraphale and Crowley from Good Omens. Of those four past winners. Aang and Moiraine are both still in the running. Will we see the repeat win in Fandom Madness history, or will a new champion rise? Again, it's all up to you. Voting on the Sweet 16 round will run through late on Friday, March 28.
