This is the way to start a new week! The long-awaited trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu finally dropped, promising a film of adventure, action, heart, and the importance of Din Djarin and Grogu's bond.
Disney shared the first official trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu, which premieres in theaters on May 22, 2026. This is the first time we've seen Mando and Grogu since The Mandalorian season 3 ended in the spring of 2023.

Din Djarin is far from taking time to kick back and relax on Nevarro. Old habits die hard, and although our hero Mandalorian and his now adopted child Grogu deserve time to rest after spending three seasons on Disney Plus saving the galaxy from the likes of a multitude of enemies, they are back to work.
Only this time it may be the biggest job Din Djarin has ever been assigned. The trailer features the return of several familiar characters, such as Zeb, the Gen'Dai warrior, and an Anzellan droidsmith, who may or may not be Babu Frik from the Star Wars sequel trilogy.
Sigourney Weaver makes her appearance, seemingly ready to assign Din Djarin a new job. Does this have anything to do with Rotta the Hutt, Jabba the Hutt's son?
Admittedly, our favorite part of the trailer is watching Mando take out stormtroopers, including an entire AT-AT! While we loved the Disney Plus Star Wars series it severely lacked Din Djarin kicking stormtrooper butt!
What other surprises will be in store for fans of one of the most popular Star Wars duos in history? How many new characters will be introduced?
