Over the years, battle-royale game Fortnite has added skins of characters from across pop culture. Some of the biggest IP collaborations include Marvel's Deadpool and Spider-Man, DC's Batman (who already has several iterations) as well as characters from Star Wars' The Mandalorian. The game has even added skins for musicians Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, Eminem, and Bruno Mars. All in all, the game is a massive playground where players can don the skins of their favorite people, whether real or fictional.

One major IP that never got the Fortnite treatment is Game of Thrones — but now it's here, and just in time for the show's 15th-anniversary and Fortnite's Ice King season. The skins themselves are glorious. Players can play as Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and the Night King. You can plainly see that lots of thought has gone into these character designs; while naturally stylised to fit the Fortnite-aesthetic, they still feel authentic and true to Game of Thrones.

What's more, there's also a number of unique emotes: drop into the map on the the Drogon glider, stand tall in the Night King's victory pose, or even take a seat on the Iron Throne. Take a look at the official announcement trailer, which shows off the glorious emotes:

Other GoT-themed items included in the collaboration include: House Stark Shield (Back Bling), Night King’s Falx (Back Bling), Longclaw Sword (Pickaxe), Dragonglass Blade (Pickaxe), Night King’s Falx (Pickaxe), Claim the Throne (Emote), House Targaryen (Emote), Snow and Ice (Spray), and House Stark (Emoticon).

The characters are part of the Ice & Fire set, introduced in Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 2. The bundle consists of just three characters. It seems strange that they didn't include Arya Stark, a character literally famed for her ability to wear different skins... but what do we know?

Game of Thrones marks another major fantasy IP being picked up by Epic Games. So far, Epic Games has licensed some of the biggest fantasy properties out there, including The Witcher, The Elder Scrolls, DOOM, and God of War. Bizarrely, there's never been an official Lord of the Rings collaboration (the rights are probably too complicated), but the game has nevertheless added custom skins that feel close enough to LOTR.

The Game of Thrones x Fortnite collaboration launched on March 20, and it's now live. Who will you be flying into battle as?
