One of the upcoming book-to-film adaptations that people are looking forward to is The Last Mrs. Parrish. It's a thriller flick that seems to be coming together nicely with an impressive cast, a seasoned director, and plenty of buzz around how the bestselling novel will be brought to life on screen. Now, we've just learned that a beloved Game of Thrones actor has joined the film's cast in a leading role.
The Last Mrs. Parish is based on the hit thriller novel of the same name by Lynne and Valerie Constantine. We first learned about this movie back in April 2025, when it was announced that Golden Globe-nominated actress Jennifer Lopez (Enough, Hustlers) would be starring in it. Robert Zemeckis, who is known for helming classics like Forrest Gump, Cast Away and the Back to the Future trilogy, is set to direct.
Andrea Berloff and John Gatins co-wrote the script. Berloff is best known for writing the screenplay for Netflix's The Mother and helping co-write the script for the biographical drama Straight Outta Compton. Gatins, on the other hand, is known for writing the scripts for the movies Power Rangers and Flight. When it comes to producers, Lopez, Liza Chasin, Molly Sims, and Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas are all on board for The Last Mrs. Parish. In addition, executive producers on the film include the Constantines, Benny Medina, Courtney Baxter, Jack Rapke, and Derek Hogue.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who many will know from his iconic role as Jaime Lannister on HBO's Game of Thrones, has joined the cast of The Last Mrs. Parrish as the male lead, Jackson Parrish. He portrays the husband of Lopez's character, Daphne Parrish. Besides Game of Thrones, you might have watched Coster-Waldau in films like Oblivion, Shot Caller and Small Crimes, or on TV in shows such as New Amsterdam and The Last Thing He Told Me. You can currently watch him in the epic historical drama series King & Conqueror.
Also joining the cast of The Last Mrs. Parrish are Isabel May and Pierson Fodé. You might recognize May from her roles in Young Sheldon and 1883, while Fodé is known for his acting work in The Man From Toronto and various TV projects. We'll likely hear of more cast announcements soon.
The Last Mrs. Parish follows Amber Patterson, a cunning con artist who sets her sights on a wealthy couple. She befriends the glamorous Daphne Parrish and attempts to seduce her husband Jackson, only to discover that getting what she wants is far more complicated than she expected. May is set to portray Amber. It's unknown who Fodé will play. Additionally, the movie will be available to stream on Netflix when it releases.
