Netflix's monster-hunting fantasy show The Witcher is set in a gritty fantasy world called the Continent, but soon it will be adding a former denizen of Westeros to its ranks. Kate Dickie, the actor who played Lysa Arryn in four seasons of Game of Thrones, will appear in The Witcher's fifth and final season. This hasn't been officially announced yet by Netflix, but since it comes via Redanian Intelligence, a reliable scoop site for all things Witcher-related, so I'm inclined to believe it.
The Witcher has already filmed its fourth season, which is expected to premiere sometime in 2025. It's now rolling full steam ahead onto its fifth, which is in the thick of filming right now. These final two seasons will feature Liam Hemsworth in the role of Geralt of Rivia, and will cap off the story told in Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher Saga books.
According to RI's sources, Dickie is slated to appear in season 5 as Sigrdrifa, a priestess in the Temple of Freya on the Skellige Isles. Skellige is a beloved location from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt video game; it's essentially this world's version of a Viking nation, complete with squabbles between petty lords, raiding parties, mythical giants, sirens and other beasties. So far we've only seen Skellige briefly in the television series, but it will start to play a larger role as we near the end of the show.
There's pretty much no question that Dickie is a perfect fit for a show like The Witcher. Beyond her excellent turn as Lysa in Thrones, she also appeared in the A24 film The Witch and Marvel's second season of Loki. She's got genre bonafides, and it's easy to imagine what she could bring to Netflix's fantasy series.

More cast members revealed for The Witcher season 4 and 5
Redanian Intelligence has a few other cast members for season 5 who they've learned about from their spies. Let's run through them:
- Bobby Rainsbury will play a girl named Gunhild, whom RI believes to be another priestess at Sigrdrifa's temple. We'll also see Rainsbury in Starz's Outlander spinoff Blood of My Blood later this year.
- Adam Trussell will play a character named Vifindir. That's not a name from Sapkowski's books, but it sounds pretty Skelligan to me.
- Jamie Michie and Una Byrne in unknown roles for season 5.
Redanian Intelligence also shares info about some cast members for season 4 who haven't been officially announced yet: William Bassoumba, Arinder Sadhra, Isabel Mackinson, and Robert Eades. We don't know what characters any of them are playing, but should learn more sometime in the coming months.
As with any scoop, take all this with a grain of salt. But considering RI's track record, I imagine the lion's share of this information will pan out.
We're still waiting on a release date for The Witcher season 4. Netflix's Tudum celebration is slated for this Saturday; perhaps we'll find out more then?
