At last, we have a date for the Good Omens movie! It’s been a long wait for fans, but on Friday, February 13 (an oddly fitting date), Prime Video released an announcement video confirming that the special 90-minute movie finale of the fantasy series will debut on Wednesday, May 13.
And finally...3. See you soon 😇😈 pic.twitter.com/kfWa1qOElR

The trailer was short, showing film crews at work before zooming in on a familiar bookstore, then a sign flipping over to read “open.” That seems to fit the adaptation of the acclaimed novel by Neil Gaiman and the late, great Sir Terry Pratchett. It also speaks to the troubled path the show has taken to reach its conclusion.
Good Omens follows the misadventures of angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant), who spend millennia on Earth and, while meant to be enemies, forge an odd friendship. When they learn Armageddon is on the way, the two, not wanting Earth destroyed, team up to try and stop it.
The first season adapted the original novel and was successful enough to earn a second season. That was overseen by Gaiman, using ideas he and Pratchett had discussed for a never-written sequel. However, the plans for a third season went awry when Gaiman was accused of sexual misconduct. While he has denied the charges, he was removed from production of the season, which was then changed to a movie.
Thankfully, at least we get Sheen and Tennant back to properly wrap the tale up.

What is the Good Omens movie about?
The second season of Good Omens ended with Gabriel (Jon Hamm) regaining his memories and heading off with his new love, demon Beelzebub (Shelley Conn). The Metatron (Derek Jacobi) offered the job of supreme archangel to Aziraphale. By that point, Crowley realized he was in love with the angel, but when Aziraphale offered Crowley a place in Heaven, the demon refused, planted a kiss on Aziraphale, and left. The final scene had the Metatron revealing that the new plan was to prepare for the Second Coming.
So far, only Sheen and Tennant are confirmed for the film, but it’s likely we’ll be seeing scores of past characters show up (perhaps including Sam Taylor Buck as Adam Young, whose Antichrist was the focus of the first season), as Crowley and Aziraphale trying to overcome their issues while stopping Heaven and Hell from ending the world.
It’ll be a challenge trying to wrap the entire saga up in just 90 minutes, but at least it will be some sort of conclusion. We’ll be waiting for more details, yet it’s truly good news to know when Good Omens makes its grand return!
Good Omens 3 debuts Wednesday, May 13 on Prime Video.
