Following the allegations against Good Omens co-creator Neil Gaiman, the show's 90-minute finale is in a precarious position right now.
The witty and whimsical fantasy series, based on the best-selling novel by Gaiman and fantasy legend Terry Pratchett, aired for two seasons on Amazon Prime Video. The second season ended on a pretty big cliffhanger—notably the kiss between Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and Crowley (David Tennant)—leaving fans desperate for more.
Michael Sheen shares what he can on the Good Omens finale
In a recent interview at the Edinburgh TV Festival (as per Deadline), star Michael Sheen, who plays the angel Aziraphale, weighed in on the status of the feature-length finale.
His answer makes for some pretty grim reading in the sense that absolutely nothing is set in place. “It’s not up to me,” he said when asked about whether the finale will actually air. “I’m not in control but the episode is made and hopefully the people will enjoy it as and when.”

These comments echo a previous statement made by Sheen, who told The Times earlier this year: "I really don’t know what’s going to happen with it. We were both relieved we finished the story, but that’s within this really difficult, complicated, disturbing context. I hope people get to see it, but that, to a large extent, is out of our hands."

After Gaiman was accused of sexual assault (which he denies), streamers have begun to drop projects based on his works. For instance, Disney paused plans for an adaptation of The Graveyard Book. Plus, Netflix ended its live-action adaptation of The Sandman —although it was originally planned to end with its second season anyway.
As for Good Omens, the series was not inherently cancelled after the allegations surfaced, but Prime Video offered the chance for it to conclude through a feature-length 90-minute finale. This comes after it was initially due to end with a full third season. Gaiman departed the project, and the feature-length finale finished production in Scotland in February 2025. Since then, all official details on the finale have gone quiet.
All things considered, the future of Good Omens seems uncertain. I'd imagine that Prime Video would release the episode at some point. As for when that might be, your guess is as good as mine.

If one thing is for sure, both Sheen and David Tennant are very moved by the Good Omens fandom. From day one, the fanbase has been legion; fan theories are rife, and social media is still sprawling with fan artwork and fanfics.
“When people talk about having chemistry, you just feel very lucky. We both feel the same way about making a scene work as well as possible. And to see what Good Omens means to the fandom, well I still get very moved,” Sheen also shared at the Edinburgh TV Festival.
