It's been more than a month since Amazon Prime Video cancelled The Wheel of Time following its spectacular third season, and fans are still fighting to keep the show alive. We've been following the #SaveWOT movement throughout its journey, from the launch of its web hub SaveWOT.com, to seeing it crush its funding milestones, to the surging number of people signing its petition to keep the series afloat (which has garnered over 181,000 signatures as of this writing). There has been a lot to talk about in Randland since the show's cancellation.
This week, the fan campaign took things to another level. On Tuesday, a plane flew around Culver City, Los Angeles, where studios like Amazon and Apple have offices, bearing a sky banner beseeching studios to save The Wheel of Time. We know for a fact that people inside the Amazon offices saw it, because the show's book expert Sarah Nakamura shared pictures which were sent to her from someone inside the building.
But the sky banner was only the first volley of the week. Since then, billboards funded by the SaveWOT campaign have popped up around the world. The more everyone keeps The Wheel of Time front of mind, the better its chances; whether you're optimistic about the show coming back or not, I think we can safely say the fans of the series are doing everything humanly possible to give it the best shot possible.
Let's take a trip around the world to see all the fancy banners, starting with New York City:
Today our message to save The Wheel of Time is live on digital displays in NY, LA and London. Make this #WotWednesday a day of action: sign, post, write, share, rewatch.

Let us fly now to the west, where a strangely shaped billboard cropped up on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California:

The Wheel of Time is an international show, filmed all over the world. Its cast, crew, and fans hail from around the globe. So obviously, this fan movement can't be contained to just the United States. Here's a massive banner at Leicester Square in London, England:

Early in the fan campaign, one enterprising Brazillian superfan bought a billboard in New York City. Now the SaveWOT campaign has returned the favor, with a pair of billboards in São Paulo, Brazil:
Two #SaveWOT campaign billboards went up in São Paulo, Brazil today and will stay up for a month!

It's nice to see The Wheel of Time being represented so well in so many different locations. And there's still more to come; the press release for these billboards states that the campaign's organizers "are planning additional billboard locations which will be shared as they are booked." So if you live in a big city, keep your eye on your local billboards — and our website, since we'll be keeping a close eye on the campaign.
The Wheel called you to this and you answered the call! More to come, but for now, look what you all did! 💛
