It feels like every star of every TV show ever has declared subsequent seasons 'bigger and better' than their predecessors. A lot of the time they're right, a lot of the time the term is a marketing cliche. But in the case of House of the Dragon season 3, it feels both accurate and apt. If season 2 began the Dance of Dragons, season 3 takes things to a whole other levels, with dragon against dragon action and battles unlike anything Westeros has ever seen — look no further than the Battle of the Gullet, which kicks off the season in explosive style.
So far, numerous cast members have called season 3 bigger than its predecessors. For instance, Olivia Cooke (Alicent Hightower) has previously teased to Collider that the new season is "bigger and more ferocious than ever before"; and Matt Smith has echoed that sentiment by saying "I think we've tried to be bigger and better this year." This is a cast well-versed in building hype, and let's face it, they've never been wrong. House of the Dragon has gotten more action-packed and epic season-on-season so far.
The latest to throw fuel onto the fire and hype up the new season is Harry Collett, who plays Prince Jacaerys 'Jace' Velaryon. First introduced back in Season 1, Jace is one of six sons of Rhaenyra Targaryen and the rider of the dragon Vermax, one of the central dragons battling against the Triarchy's fleet in the Battle of the Gullet.
Jace is all set up for a baptism of fire (literally) in the season 3 premiere. "It's bigger, it's better," Collett teased to Variety during the Power of Women London event. "It goes straight into it, there's no waiting. You're not gonna be disappointed."

Collett isn't lying when he says season 3 delves "straight into it" — he's referring to the Battle of the Gullet, a major naval battle and one of the most renowned in Westeros' history. The battle is depicted in the premiere, which showrunner Ryan Condal has deemed "arguably the craziest episode of television ever made." It sees the forces of the Triarchy launch an attack against the Sea Snake's blockade at the Gullet, which was starving King's Landing of resources. Jace will have a major role to play in the battle, for better or worse.
House of the Dragon season 3 premieres June 21, kicking off a summer of fire and blood in Westeros.
