It's been over a year since the latest new episode of Outlander; the first half of season 7 closed out back in August of 2023 and the second half starts up in November. Starz is gearing up for the occasion. To start, it revealed the titles of all the new episodes we're going to get. Check them out:

  • Episode 9: "Unfinished Business"
  • Episode 10: "Brotherly Love"
  • Episode 11: "A Hundredweight of Stone"
  • Episode 12: "Carnal Knowledge"
  • Episode 13: "Hello, Goodbye"
  • Episode 14: "Ye Dinna Get Used to It"
  • Episode 15: "Written in My Own Heart’s Blood"
  • Episode 16: "A Hundred Thousand Angels"

When last we checked in with the Outlander crew, Jamie, Claire and Young Ian had returned to Scotland from the American colonies. "Brotherly Love" likely has something to do with Young Ian. Outlander is famous for its sex scenes, particularly those between husband and wife Jamie and Claire Fraser, which is the first place my mind goes when I see a title like "Carnal Knowledge." And "Written in My Own Heart's Blood" is the title of the eighth book in Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. This next batch of episodes will mostly draw from the seventh book in the series, An Echo in the Bone, but apparently they'll cover a bit of Written in My Own's Heart's Blood as well.

And then there's the premiere, "Unfinished Business." The "unfinished business" in question likely refers to Jamie's ex-wife Laoghaire, whom Jamie needs to go see while he's in Scotland. How do we know that? Because Starz released a new clip where Jamie talks to Claire about exactly this topic, and explicitly says he has "business unfinished" with "the woman I married."

Laoghaire has made life difficult for Jamie and Claire over the years; she tried to have Claire killed for being a witch and shot Jamie the last time they were in the same country. But Claire isn't threatened by Jamie needing to see his ex; after all they've been through, there's no danger of something like this tearing them apart.

New episodes of Outlander start dropping on Friday, November 22 on Starz.
