Amazon cancelled The Wheel of Time about a month ago. An adaptation of Robert Jordan's high fantasy epic, the show was improving every year and had really come into its own with season 3. Fans were looking forward to seeing the story told all the way to the end, so the sudden cancellation really stung.
The fans haven't taken it lying down. They've launched a robust campaign to either convince Amazon to change its mind or to find the show a new home. Some of their latest efforts include putting up billboards in big cities like New York City, Los Angeles, São Paulo and London, as well as flying "Save The Wheel of Time" banners over the offices of major studios.
Both efforts have been noticed by star Josha Stradowski, who plays lead character Rand al'Thor, the Dragon Reborn himself. Here's his reaction to the sky banner, originally posted on his Instagram:

"OH MY," says it all. "Our huge fandom's campaign to save The Wheel of Time continues," reads the text in the video. "Now the level has literally risen to the heavens!"
The attempts to save The Wheel of Time are very impressive. The fans are organized and determined in a way we rarely see. Does that actually mean that the show will be revived? I certainly hope so, although we've heard that the show is not being shopped around to other networks, for whatever ridiculous reason. Maybe this campaign can help kick things into gear.
Looking at reactions from the cast and crew, my read is that a lot of them seem resigned to the idea that the show is over, but they can't help hoping for the best. Showrunner Rafe Judkins' reaction is typical. "Will The Wheel of Time get to do that with another network and finish the story? Sadly, it's not something that happens often. But it does happen," he wrote on his Instagram.
The realist in me tends to think this is the end, however little the show deserves it and however much of a blow it would be. If The Wheel of Time show doesn't continue in its current form, it could be decades before someone has the will and the resources to try and adapt this story to the screen again. But with the fans putting forth this kind of Herculean effort, I'm holding out hope. They deserve that.
