Congratulations are very much in order for Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, who is now a mom of one! The 21-year-old actress announced the news on Instagram today, sharing that she and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, welcomed a daughter via adoption this summer.

"We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy," Brown and Bongiovi's joint post read, turning their comments section off on the post. The fan-favorite couple, who sparked romance rumors in 2021, got engaged in 2023, and wed in 2024, are presumably enjoying newborn bliss together and have intentionally quieted any outside noise.

Brown, who rose to fame through Netflix’s sci-fi phenomenon Stranger Things and has starred in other titles on the streamer, such as the Enola Holmes movies and The Electric State, opened up about married life with Bongiovi, 23, to Vanity Fair earlier this year.

For her Feb. 2025 cover story, Brown divulged what adult life has included for her so far, embracing nature and animals while noting that because she didn’t go to traditional school, her social skills suffered. “I struggle with that quite a bit,” she shared. “I missed out on a few things. But I’m working through them.”

Alongside Bongiovi, she’s very much enjoyed her farm lifestyle on the property they own in Georgia. While chatting with Vanity Fair, she also acknowledged the “trad wife” social media trend, assuring that this is just who she is.

“I’m not doing it for the aesthetic,” she explained. “I’m doing it because I love it. There are maybe some trad wives out there doing it because it seems wholesome, but it is not. If you’re not picking up horse s**t or washing a cow with your bare hands, then that life is not made for you. At all.”

More recently, the Spain-born, England-raised actress dished on wanting to have kids with Bongiovi while a guest on the Smartless podcast, as reported by People, noting that although she knew she was "really young," she felt ready to expand her family.

"My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19," Brown stated. "And you know, it's been my thing since before I met Jake. Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me."

Brown is expected to return as Eleven for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, which will premiere in three separate releases later this year. While the show’s creators, Ross and Matt Duffer, are expected to exit Netflix for Paramount, Brown seems to be staying with the streamer, with more projects on the way.

The Emmy Award nominee has another Enola Holmes movie in the works, which wrapped filming in June, and she’s also slated to co-star in a rom-com for Netflix titled Just Picture It alongside Gabriel LaBelle.
