HBO continues to build out the cast for its new Harry Potter TV show. Check out the nine newest cast members:

Starting from the top left and going row by row, they are:
- Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, the mother of Harry Potter's friend Ron Weasley
- Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Harry's rival at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
- Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Draco's dad
- Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, a student at Hogwarts
- Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, another student at Hogwarts
- Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, yet another student at Hogwarts
- Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, Harry Potter's rotten foster mother
- Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley, Harry Potter's rotten foster father
- Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge, the Minister of Magic
There are some major characters here. In particular, Draco is a mainstay of the series who will have a lot to do from start to finish, so Lox Pratt had best dig in. Harry's foster parents are big players throughout, and characters like Cornelius Fudge and Lavender Brown start off with small roles that grow in importance throughout the series. HBO is playing the long game here; the idea is to adapt all seven of J.K. Rowling's books over the course of as many seasons of TV, using the extra space to get into more detail than the movies could have.

Everyone else HBO has cast in its new Harry Potter show
We also know of a bunch of other people HBO has cast, including:

- Arabella Stanton as Hermione, Harry's other best friend
- John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster at Hogwarts
- Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, the cruel Potions Master
- Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, the tough-but-fair Transfiguration teacher
- Nick Frost as Hagrid, the Hogwarts groundskeeper
