The cast for Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 is growing with two big additions announced today.
Percy Jackson is proving to be a fantastic success for Disney. The adaptation of the Rick Riordan fantasy series does a fine job capturing the storylines and following the adventures of the title character (played by Walker Scobell) as he learns he’s the son of the Greek god Poseidon and is placed in a camp of demigods.
The first season adapted the first book in the series, The Lightning Thief, with Disney giving it a second season, adapting Sea of Monsters. While that debuts in December, Disney has already given the go-ahead for a third season, which should adapt The Titan’s Curse.
Now, The Hollywood Reporter shares that two big additions are coming for the show in the form of Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry. They follow Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, who are playing siblings Leo and Bianca di Angelo. The addition of these two should spark season 3’s already big storyline.

The new characters of Percy Jackson season 3
Keen is getting a prime role playing Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt. She’s described as, “preferring the freedom of the outdoors to the politics and formality of Olympus. Her immortal hunters are her constant companions, and she has little contact with mortals, making her a bit out of touch with modern human culture. She is regal and an honorable fighter who will stand up to grave challenges.”
Keen is best known for Laura/X-23 in Logan and a starring turn in His Dark Materials, as well as a memorable role in The Acolyte. Adding on a role in Percy Jackson solidifies her credentials as a genre favorite, as she has the athleticism to pull off being Artemis.
Chaudry will play Zoe Nightshade, the, “loyal lieutenant to Artemis and first among the immortal hunters. She has been at Artemis’ side for more than 2,000 years. She is a strong warrior and sometimes overly serious in ways that amuse the demigods, but she is also a crucial quest member, willing to strive and sacrifice for the good of all.”
Chaudry is known for roles in The Breadwinner and previous Disney+ shows The Mysterious Benedict Society and The Muppets Mayhem. While not as many major credits as Keen, she should fit the role of Zoe well.
The Titan’s Curse has Percy and friends Annabeth and Grover trying to rescue the de Angelo siblings, with Artemis also captive by the Titan Atlas. This leads to a mystery that could ruin both Olympus and Earth.
This shows how much faith Disney has in Percy Jackson to make such big casting moves for a third season months before the second season premieres, and makes the wait for season 3 more exciting.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 premieres December 10 on Disney+.
