12) Vikings: Valhalla season 3 (final season)
A sequel of History’s Vikings set more than 100 years after the events of the original series, Vikings: Valhalla is set in 11th century England. The show focuses on the tension and subsequent wars between the descendants of the Vikings and the native English, as well as the religious conflicts between the old pagan ways and the rising popularity of Christianity. After two successful seasons on Netflix, the historical drama will end with a third and final season in 2024, seemingly depicting the end of the Viking Age marked by the Battle of Samford Bridge in 1066. No release date has been confirmed.
13) Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3 (final season)
Dave Filoni’s The Bad Batch is one of the earliest Tv shows to keep the Star Wars universe alive and running on the small screen after the conclusion of the sequel movie trilogy. Set after Revenge of the Sith, the series follows Clone Force 99, a squad of elite clone troopers with genetic mutations. They resisted Emperor Palpatine's Order 66, which led to the mass genocide of the Jedi Order, and have become fugitives from the Galactic Empire. The third and final season of the animated show is expected to drop in early 2024, in February or March.
14) Superman and Lois season 4 (final season)
The last remaining show from DC’s Arrowverse, Superman & Lois will come to an end with a limited budget and episode count in 2024. The show focused on the part of Clark Kent’s life that we don’t usually get to see in the movies: being married to Lois and bringing up kids with her while juggling superhero duties. The CW never had a good track record of being consistent with shows. Fans were rightfully disappointed to hear the show is ending, but at least they will get to say goodbye.
15) Star Wars: Andor season 2 (final season)
Who knew that a spin-off show from a spin-off prequel movie (Rogue One) could become one of the most critically acclaimed, brilliantly-written Star Wars productions in the franchise’s decades of existence? Tony Gilroy’s Andor, starring Diego Luna and Stellan Skarsgard, is set five years before the events of the first Star Wars movie, A New Hope. The show unveils a very different perspective of the Empire’s rise to power, removed from the Siths and the Jedis and focusing on the common people, whose sacrifices should matter just as much. Andor was originally supposed to come in the fall of 2024, but it was notably absent from Disney’s press release announcing this year’s slate of content. You have plenty of time to catch up with the series before the second and possibly final season drops in early 2025.
