It's March, and the biggest sci-fi/fantasy release of the month may have already dropped. Have you seen Dune: Part Two yet? If not, it's in theaters now.

But there is other stuff right around the corner. Here are four sci-fi/fantasy TV shows and movies to keep a look out for this March:

Invincible season 2 part 2 (March 14)

It ends up we have a full two weeks to absorb Dune before the first entry on our list arrives, which is considerate. In mid-March, the bloody wonderful animated superhero show Invincible will return on Amazon Prime Video, picking up the story of the young Mark Grayson as he attempts to deal with a multiplying myriad of problems both personal and supervillainous. As the show gets deeper into the comic by Robert Kirkman, we'll also spend more time apart from Mark with characters like Atom Eve, Allen the Alien, and of course Mark's dad Omni-Man. This ensemble is on the grow.

The first four episodes of Invincible season 2 aired late last year. The final four will air this month and cease in April. Hopefully Amazon will air the third season all in a row whenever it comes out.

3 Body Problem (March 21)

Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are back with a new show: 3 Body Problem, based on the Remembrance of Earth's Past novel trilogy by Liu Cixin. Cixin's sci-fi epic is dense, knotty and ambitious. It's about humanity first contact with a hostile extraterrestrial species, and explores themes of misanthropy, history, and environmental stewardship, with lots of scientific jargon included along the way. Cixin's books are difficult to adapt. But that's what they said about A Song of Ice and Fire, and that worked out.

The story of 3 Body Problem will play out over multiple generations and across the deep expanse of space. I'm curious to how people will react to this one when the first season drops on Netflix on March 21.

Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire (March 22)

Remember Ghostbusters: Afterlife, the Stranger Things-esque reboot of the Ghostbusters franchise that came out in 2021? Well, there's a sequel on the way this month. Members of the original Ghostbusters team, including Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd, are passing on their knowledge of all things spectral to a new generation of ghost-hunters played by Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon and actual Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard.

This time, an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force that may bring about a second ice age. Multiple generations must team up to keep that from happening.

I'll be honest: I'd forgotten this movie existed until now. We'll see if people are in the same boat as me when it opens on March 22.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (March 29)

First the Frozen Empire and now the New Empire. In 2021, Godzilla fought King Kong in the appropriately titled Godzilla vs. Kong. But now the new iconic movie monsters are teaming up to fight mysterious, titanic beings hidden deep below the world. Will they be able to keep these creatures from ending the world as we know it? Smart money's on yes.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, and Dan Stevens, but we're all just here for the giant monsters, right? It opens March 29.

Dune: Part Two is a cinematic triumph that flourishes on all fronts. dark. Next. dune
