After years-long journey, Joseph Quinn and Doja Cat spotted canoodling

Doja Cat thirsted over Joseph Quinn back when the fourth season of Stranger Things was airing back in 2022. Now they're canoodling. CANOODLING, I SAY.

Back in 2022, a star was born when English actor Joseph Quinn played dungeon master '80s slacker Eddie Munson on the fourth season of the Netflix series Stranger Things. To put it delicately, people were interested in him. American singer and rapper Doja Cat took steps to meet him, messaging Quinn's 17-year-old Stranger Things costar Noah Schnapp and asking him to put them in contact. Schnapp shared her DMs publicly, which upset Doja Cat. There was a back and forth at the time online over which was weirder: leaking private DMs or a 20-something singer trying to enlist a teenager's help with her love life.

However that turned out, Joseph Quinn and Doja Cat have been spotted together, holding hands and generally canoodling, which I think is a word used exclusively to describe celebrities being affectionate towards each other in public.

And good for them. Doja Cat was already a big deal when Quinn broke out through Stranger Things, but his profile has raised significantly since then. He'll appear in Gladiator 2 later this year, and will star alongside Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby and Ebon Moss-Bachrach in the Marvel movie Fantastic Four: First Steps, which is due out next summer.

Then there's the possibility that Quinn could return as Eddie Munson in the upcoming fifth and final season of Stranger Things, which is also likely be out sometime in 2025. There's no confirmation of that one way or the other yet, but Quinn has hinted that it may happen. You might think that's impossible given that Eddie Munson died in the fourth season of Stranger Things, but this show is about monsters from parallel dimensions breaking into our world, so who's to say what is and isn't possible? Even if Eddie doesn't come back as some kind of alternate dimension zombie, there could always be a flashback or something. Stay tuned on that score.
