22-year-old Caleb McLaughlin has been a key member of the Stranger Things cast from the start, back when he was just 13. The show has been there throughout his formative years, and now it's starting in on its fifth and final season.
Season 4 ended with the group seemingly defeating the omnipotent Vecna...but it turned out that the war was just beginning. In the final moments of the season, the hellish Upside Down dimension began to leak into the sleepy town of Hawkins, Indiana. Fighting it back will be the group's biggest challenge yet.
While plot details about the final episodes are being kept under lock and key, McLaughlin believes that the story will satisfy fans, uncovering secrets that have been hidden throughout the show's run. "I always try to think of a clever way of giving you ," he told Entertainment Tonight. "Well, this is the last and final season. You'll get a lot of information."
He then backtracked a little, saying fans shoudn't expect a comprehensive "resolution" to the events of the series. However, the show will still drop "a lot of information that you haven't had from the last couple of seasons."
Of course, the Stranger Things universe will continue to live on after the show is over through a number of spinoff projects (none of which have been officially announced) that will no doubt continue to drop hints and clues about the bigger picture. And then you've got the spinoff novels and comics. There's plenty of information to be digested outside of the main show.
Stranger Things 5 is expected to premiere sometime in 2025.
Stranger Things fans can now invest in a piece of the show's history!
You might like Stranger Things, but do you love it enough to invest some dough into the house that stands in for the Byers family home on the show? If you are seeking such an opportunity, you're in luck. Courtesy of Arrived, fans can now invest as little as $100 into the iconic filming location. The home will be renovated, made to look exactly like it is in the show, and rented out to fans through sites like Airbnb.
"This project will be a collaborative effort, which is why we're inviting the broader fan community to provide input throughout the creative process," the description reads. "Plus, The Byers House will be 100% owned by fans like you. For as little as $100, you can become a partial owner and earn rental income from the property."
Just be sure to be on the lookout for the denizens of the Upside Down!
