At the end of Game of Thrones, Bran Stark was made the King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, the Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm. In other words, he’s king.

It wasn’t the ending that a lot of fans expected, but for better or worse, Bran Stark is now responsible for the well-being of Westeros. As such, he needs his own sigil, so everyone far and wide will recognize his authority. The show didn’t make a huge deal out of it, but we did see Bran’s sigil on armor worn by Brienne of Tarth, who is the Lord Commander of his Kingsguard:

As you can see, this is an image of a bird in flight, a reference to Bran’s role as the Three-Eyed Raven. In season 6, Bran inherited the powers of the last Three-Eyed Raven; he now has repositories of ancient knowledge in his head, and has the ability to see what anyone around the world is doing at will. He can even visit the past!

These are very unique abilities, so you want them represented on your sigil. Everyone who sees the Three-Eyed Raven sigil will know that their king is watching them, so they better be on their best behavior.

If HBO ever makes a follow-up series to Game of Thrones, perhaps we’ll see this sigil get put more prominently on display. We know they’re tossing around the idea of a Jon Snow series, but have yet to hear anything official.

Next. Jon Snow. Emilia Clarke says the Jon Snow show was “created by Kit Harington”. dark
