The cast of House of the Dragon is hitting the press citcuit to promote the second season of HBO's Game of Thrones prequel series, and they're dropping some juicy soundbites. Let's start with Matt Smith (Daemon Targaryen), who dropped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about his life, his work, and the time he met A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin on a boat during Comic-Con in 2011. There's even a picture! Watch below:

During that Comic-Con, Smith was playing the Doctor on Doctor Who, and appeared on a panel with Game of Thrones star Kit Harington about young actors trying to make it big; at the time, Harington had just started playing Jon Snow. Naturally, that led to a question about who would win in a fight: Daemon Targaryen or Jon Snow?

Smith had no doubt his character would come out on top: "Me, I've got a dragon. I have a lot of respect for Jon Snow...but don't get it twisted: I would f**k those brothers up."

Game of Thrones is set well over a hundred years after House of the Dragon, so there's no chance of these two characters ever meeting. But if fan-fic writers want to depict how this fight would go down, they're welcome to. Incidentally, Jon Snow is a distant descendant of Daemon Targaryen, so it would be yet another family brawl.

Finally, Smith teased what to expect in House of the Dragon season 2: "There are a lot of rifts within the family...There's a lot of grief flying around, and I think that makes people act strange, and so people are acting and reacting in a very Targaryen way; there's a lot of blood, a lot of danger, a lot of madness, a load of maniacs in blonde wigs."

Expect "bloodshed, legacy, power, sexuality and dragons" in House of the Dragon season 2

Meanwhile, Olivia Cooke (Alicent Hightower) stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to tease the new season, as well as talk about the time she met Tom Cruise and share a video where she struggles to get onto a horse:

When asked to describe House of the Dragon season 2 in five words, Cooke chose "bloodshed, legacy, power, sexuality and dragons." Into it.

Moving on, Steve Toussaint (Corlys Velaryon) stopped by ABC News to say his piece, talking about what attracted him to the role, the importance of representation in TV drama, and more:

In season 2, expect "a lot of conspiring, a lot of bloodletting, a lot of betrayal, the usual stuff. But also hopefully a lovely emotional journey for an awful lot of the characters, including Corlys."

Finally, let's round out this suite of interviews with one from Good Morning America, where Tom Glynn-Carney (King Aegon II Targaryen), Ewan Mitchell (Aemond Targaryen), Harry Collett (Jacaerys Velaryon) and Bethany Antonia (Baela Targaryen) stopped by to talk all things season 2:

All of these actors played characters who were only introduced as adults in the final few episodes of the first season. Before that, those characters were played by younger actors. "I think I speak for all of us when I say that we're so excited to be in the whole thing this season," Antonia said.

House of the Dragon season 2 premieres on HBO and Max on Sunday, June 16!
