Oh. My. God... 'Zilla.
Can we just take a moment to let this sink in: Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Apple TV+'s fantastic series, is not only coming back for a second season, but we're also getting MULTIPLE spinoffs, according to TV Line! As a colossal MonsterVerse fan, this news has me wanting to climb the nearest skyscraper and roar in excitement. I would so totally do that, too.
The first season of Monarch had us hooked with its multiple timelines, the mystery around Monarch, and of course, those adrenaline-pumping encounters with Titans. And now, knowing there's more? It's like Apple TV+ knew my birthday is coming up next week; a colossal thank you for the nicely-timed news.
We don't know when a second season might come along or how many spinoffs Apple is considering, but the prospect of diving even deeper into the Monsterverse has my imagination running wild. What new Titans will emerge from the depths? What untold stories will unfold? The possibilities are endless, and I'm here for every single one of them. Chris Black, Matt Fraction, and the other creative powerhouses behind this series deserve a round of applause. They've managed to expand the Monsterverse in a way that's both respectful to the legacy and thrillingly fresh. And let's not forget the brilliant cast, whose performances have brought this world to life.
I suppose we should all gear up for a second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and the exciting new journeys that await. The legends of Godzilla, Kong, and the myriad other Titans that inhabit this universe are far from over. Apple TV+ and Legendary Entertainment, you have our undivided attention. Bring on the monsters, the mayhem, and the magic. We're ready to dive back into the depths of the Monsterverse and discover what lies beneath.
Is it too early to start a countdown? Asking for a friend. Hi, it's me, I'm "friend."
