Last night, The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal showed up to the Golden Globe Awards, where he lost the prize for Best Actor to Succession's Kieran Culkin. As if that wasn't injury enough, he also showed up on the red carpet with his arm in a sling.
Pascal didn't reveal too many details about what happened, telling the Associated Press simply that he "fell." We probably won't learn much more than that unless he feels like speaking up. "It could happen to anybody," he added.
Pascal did dress for the occasion, matching his cast to his pants and writing letters in nail polish on his injured left hand that spelled out "ouch." However he hurt his arm, he's working with it.
Bella Ramsey cheers louder for Pedro Pascal than anyone else
Although he didn't win an actual statue, Pascal was getting plenty of love at the Golden Globes. Check out this adorable video of his Last of Us costar Bella Ramsey cheering louder than anyone else in the room when Pascal's name is called for the Best Actor category:
Other than The Last of Us, Pascal is best known these days for playing the lead character in The Mandalorian, the first-ever live-action Star Wars TV show. In another cute moment, one of his Star Wars universe costars -- Ariana Greenblatt, who played young Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: Ahsoka -- spotted him on the red carpet and spoke for the masses:
"Oh my god, Pedro Pascal. I love him, oh my god!" So says a grateful nation.
Since his days as Oberyn Martell on Game of Thrones, Pedro Pascal has exploded, arguably becoming the most successful cast member to get their big break on HBO's fantasy drama. If he keeps working at the rate he's been working, we'll be watching him for years to come. The Last of Us won't be back until 2025, but you'll be able to catch him in movies like Gladiator 2 between now and then.
