The superheroes are out to get us in new trailer for The Boys season 4
By Dan Selcke
The fourth season of The Boys is around the corner, and I'm starting to get nervous. This series has always been tapped into the zeitgeist, and I can't think of a more nerve-wracking time to watch a show about power-hungry sociopaths trying to take over the United States than during an election season.
Also, apparently our heroes visit a farm where all the animals are super-strong. That sheep was a flying vampire sheep. Lots of reasons to watch! Check out the new trailer below:
The Boys season 4 premieres on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday, June 13. Billy Butcher, Hughie, Starlight and the rest of our freedom fighters are still pushing back against a rising tide of fascistic superheroes led by the unstable Homelander, who is has been delightfully unhinged from the jump and only seems to be getting worse. As we saw at the end of the spinoff show Gen V, Billy has discovered a virus that hurts Supes, which could be key. Hopefully the show will pick up without viewers having to go back and watch the spinoff if they missed it.
Someone is killing Jedi in Star Wars: The Acolyte
The Boys isn't the only show with a new trailer out. Disney has a new Star Wars show on the way: The Acolyte, set many years before even the prequel series. The Jedi are at the height of their power, but a new, mysterious force is rising. Watch the new trailer below:
The Acolyte premieres on Disney+ on June 4.
Adam Driver can stop time in footage from Megalopolis
Finally, we've got the first footage from Megalopolis, a new science fiction film from director Francis Ford Coppola, the legendary director behind movies like The Godfather and Apocalypse Now. His new movie Megalopolis is about the rebuilding of a city after a cataclystic event. I don't know the full story, but apparently Adam Driver's character acn stop time. Behold:
Megalopolis doesn't have a release date for a wide release yet, but it will make its public debut at the Cannes Film Festival on May 17, 2024.
