Watch a sneak peak of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2, The Book of Carol
By Dan Selcke
Last year, The Walking Dead fans were treated to the first season of Daryl Dixon, a new show that followed the title character (played since the first season of the original Walking Dead series by Norman Reedus) as he took on a whole new challenge: trying to get back home after finding himself in zombie-ridden France. He still hadn't found a way back to the States by the end of season 1, but his journey will continue in season 2.
Not only that, but he'll be joined by an old companion, or at least, she'll also appear in the show. Come season 2, we'll also follow the adventures of Daryl's platonic soulmate Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride), another longtime Walking Dead cast member. Carol was originally going to be in the Daryl Dixon show from the jump, but conflicts eventually kept McBride from appearing in the first season. The second will make up for lost time.
AMC has now dropped a sneak peak at The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2, subtitled The Book of Carol. Daryl is still in France, plotting an ambush with his friends in order to free a couple of prisoners. Meanwhile, Carol is tracking him down back on the other side of the Atlantic. Watch the new scenes below!
The second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will premiere on AMC sometime "this summer."
Watch the full trailer for Interview With The Vampire season 2
As long as we're talking about trailers for AMC shows, the network just dropped a new one for the second season of Interview With The Vampire, its excellent adaptation of Anne Rice's classic book. When last we left our vampire heroes, Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Claudia (Delainey Hayles) had fled New Orleans for Paris after leaving the brutal vampire Lestat (Sam Reid) for dead. But if they were hoping that their eternal lives would settle down in Europe, they have another thing coming.
The second season of Interview With The Vampire will premiere on AMC on May 12.
Watch the trailer for Doctor Who season 14, and learn the episode titles
Finally, to round out this trailer party, BBC just dropped a full trailer for the upcoming 14th season of Doctor Who, or as the network boldly calls it, "season 1."
The idea is that with the Doctor's latest regeneration — he's not played by Ncuti Gatwa — the show is resetting itself even more than usual. Russell T Davies, who originally revived the series back in 2005, is back as showrunner, so if anybody is in a position to make such lofty claims, it's him. Plus, the show will now be available on Disney+, and is benefitting from a new infusion of cash courtesy of the Disney. Watch the trailer below and see if the new season looks worthy of the "season 1" moniker:
In addition to the trailer, Radio Times has a list of the new episode titles:
- "Space Babies" (written by Russell T Davies, directed by Julie Anne Robinson)
- "The Devil's Chord" (written by Russell T Davies, directed by Ben Chessell)
- "Boom" (written by Steven Moffat, directed by Julie Anne Robinson)
- "73 Yards" (written by Russell T Davies, directed by Dylan Holmes Williams)
- "Dot and Bubble" (written by Russell T Davies, directed by Dylan Holmes Williams)
- "Rogue" (written by Kate Herron and Briony Redman, directed by Ben Chessell)
- "The Legend of Ruby Sunday" (written by Russell T Davies, directed by Jamie Donoughue)
- "Empire of Death" (written by Russell T Davies, directed by Jamie Donoughue)
Doctor Who season 14...or 1, or whatever...will premiere on Disney+ on May 10 and air on BBC iPlayer the next day on May 11.
