WiC Weekly: July 14-20, 2024

Halo gets cancelled, The Boys and The Acolyte wrap up, and House of the Dragon goes full steam ahead. Here's the week in stuff and things:

House of the Dragon season 2
House of the Dragon season 2

Another week, another torrent of news and views about the worlds of sci-fi, fantasy, movies, books, TV, and House of the Dragon. We start, as always, in Westeros, picking apart the latest episode of HBO's Game of Thrones prequel series:

We have an extremely important question about the new episode we need answered as fast as humanly possible:

Aegon's dragon's fate is uncertain. The king himself has a hard road ahead of him. What's in store for the brat lord of Westeros?

A couple of big shows wrapped up this week! What did we think of the finale to Star Wars: The Acolyte? Was it was bad as everyone's been saying? Is there any hope for a second season?

The Boys also wrapped up its fourth season this week, and the press was much kinder. There's only one season left of Amazon's subversive, gleefully vulgar superhero show:

Paramount has been the subject of a lot of rumors lately. I don't know exactly where this fits in, but they've canceled their expensive Halo series:

The second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is almost here! One Wig to rule them all, One Wig to find them, One Wig to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them:

What's going down in tonight's new episode of House of the Dragon? We comb through the trailer shot by shot:

Beyond even tonight's episode, what does the back half of the season hold?

And looking forward to the season finale, it's going to be the longest episode of the series to date:
