This is getting ridiculous. We learned not long after the premiere of WandaVision on Disney+ that Agatha Harkness, the nosy neighbor and wicked witch haunting Wanda Maximoff's every step in that series, would be getting her own show. Kathryn Hahn was a lot of fun in the role, so sure, why not?
A first, we heard that the show would be called Agatha: House of Harkness. Cool. Then it changed to Agatha: Coven of Chaos. I guess that's better. Then it switched Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, which to my mind is the least appealing title yet, but as long as they stick with it I'll accept it.
But in December, entertainment gossip page @CanWeGetToast reported that the title had changed again, this time to Agatha All Along, the title of the catchy song Agatha sung in WandaVision.
This report isn't confirmed by Disney or Marvel Studios, but if it's true...oh my god, why can't they pick a title? Agatha All Along may be the best one yet, and certainly has the most brand recognition, but why did it take so long to settle on it? And if there was confusion, why announce a title at all? Just keep it to yourselves until you're sure what it's going to be.
Hopefully all of this confusion doesn't have any bearing o the show itself. Agatha Whatever is scheduled to drop on Disney+ on September 19, 2024.
