We're officially one month and some change until the House of the Dragon season 3 premiere date on Sunday, June 21, and now, there's a new teaser trailer flying around on social media.

HBO and HBO Max have not officially released any new teaser trailers on their social channels since the trailer that also revealed the release date for the new season at the end of April, but this one is a good one!

The 30-second teaser trailer opens with Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell) atop the Iron Throne. When his mother, Alicent (Olivia Cooke) approaches, Aemond asks her where she has been.

From there, things get wild. Well, I should say that Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) gets wild!

After being advised from Jacaerys that a trap has been laid to lure her to her death, we see a rapid cut of dragons, including a beautiful shot of Caraxes, Silverwing, Syrax, and Vermithor flying into what I think is King's Landing. It's such a quick shot that it's hard to tell.

We also have a few new looks at what appears to be the Battle of Gullet. There's also a brief glimpse of Daemon (Matt Smith) warning Rhaenyra about Alicent, I believe, but it could be someone else.

And, the teaser trailer ends with Rhaenyra accusing those close to her of "betraying" their queen.

"Did he think I would not discover it?" Rhaenyra asks. "Have you not betrayed your queen?"

It's been a long time since season 2, but we have not seen Rhaenyra this mad in a long, long time.

Overall, this teaser isn't a huge look or very spoiler-filled, but I do think it says a lot about how this conflict is weighing on Rhaenyra. She's obviously suffered so much tragedy in her life, and it doesn't look like those close to her are doing a particularly good job at helping her in this war.

Now, there are many things that are about to happen in House of the Dragon season 3, and probably season 4, too, that would elicit such a reaction from the real Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, but I don't want to spoil too much for fans who are not familiar with the history of Westeros and these characters.

We've also seen Ryan Condal, the showrunner of House of the Dragon, and the writers change some things in bringing this story to the screen, so we'll just wait and see what's to come. But, it looks so good!

The teaser trailer appears to be a promo from HBO Max, as it has the HBO Max logo at the begginning. It's unclear if HBO Max released the trailer or if someone spotted it on the HBO Max app. I'm assuming that it will likely air before and after new episodes of other HBO shows and movies available through the streaming service.

Stay tuned for more news about House of the Dragon season 3. After seeing the new poster for the season and a few teaser trailers, we're due for the full length trailers and more promo heading into the the final stretch before the new season's premiere.

Watch the season premiere of House of the Dragon season 3 on June 21 on HBO and HBO Max!
