With Stranger Things 5 just days away, Netflix shared another new clip from the upcoming season featuring Eleven like we've never seen her before.
In the clip, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is training at the junkyard as Hopper (David Harbour) and Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) watch and time her. They've set up an obstacle course for Eleven to train on for some reason. My best guess is that she's preparing for the final battle with Vecna, but we'll find out soon.
In the training sequence, we also see Eleven testing her powers in a way that we haven't seen before in the series. We got a glimpse in the trailer of Eleven basically flying or using her powers to perform a super jump of sorts. She pulls off the move here as she jumps over the bus where the Party used to hang out and where Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Steve (Joe Keery), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Max (Sadie Sink) tried to lure Dart, the Demogorgon back in season 2.
See for yourself!
Eleven also blows up several pumpkins, which are supposed to be heads on scarecrows, too!
The best part of the clip is when Hopper and Joyce let her know that she's set the record for her best time yet, Eleven is not satisfied. She tells them that she's running the course again.
Now, we don't know exactly what Eleven is preparing for, but there are a lot of clues that we've seen so far. Remember, Eleven was targeted by the military while Dr. Brenner (Matthew Modine) and Dr. Owens (Paul Reiser) because they thought that she was behind what was happening in Hawkins. Basically, they thought she was murdering the kids in Hawkins, but it was really Vecna.
As far as we know, they are still looking for Eleven. Maybe, Eleven is training in case the military ever tries to take her again? That's a definite possibility, too!
Ultimately, Eleven is probably going to have to do better than 12-minutes if she wants to stop Vecna. Everything we've heard so far suggest this is the biggest test for the Hawkins heroes that we've seen so far. Eleven is their best chance to end this once and for all.
Overall, this is exactly the type of content I'd like to see as we get closer to the release of Stranger Things 5 on Wednesday, Nov. 26. We're less than a week out at the time of publishing, and we really haven't seen much of the series so far. We've seen two big trailers and then a couple teasers. I have a feeling that will change as we get closer to the release date of Stranger Things 5 Vol. 1.
For fans that don't know, Netflix is rolling out Stranger Things 5 Vol. 1, which is the first four episodes of the series, on Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. It's the first "prime time" release in Stranger Things history.
Then, we'll have to wait until Christmas Day (Thursday, Dec. 25) when Netflix rolls out Stranger Things 5 Vol. 2. Then, we have to wait another week until New Year's Eve (Wednesday, Dec. 31) for the Stranger Things 5 finale. All those episodes will be released at 8 p.m. ET, as well.
