Since the publication of the first book in the epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire, A Game of Thrones, back in 1996, George R. R. Martin has participated in countless interviews. As the series' author, creator, and mastermind, Martin is the ultimate authority on the world of Westeros, and has scattered many priceless tidbits of information and lore throughout his discussions.
With the release of Game of Thrones, the TV adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, in 2011, and its spinoffs, including House of the Dragon and the upcoming A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Martin's profile has skyrocketed, leading to even more interviews. Martin even recently appeared as a high-profile guest at New York Comic Con in 2025 to discuss A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms with its showrunner, Ira Parker, and lead actors, Peter Claffey, set to play Ser Duncan the Tall, better known as Dunk, and Dexter Sol Ansell, who's portraying Dunk's squire, Egg. Among these big names, Martin was billed as the event's headliner, showcasing his star power for interviews. And with the recent announcement that even more Game of Thrones spinoffs, and sequels, are on the way, Martin will certainly partake in even more interviews in the near future.
With how many interviews Martin has done through the years, it seems like a daunting task for any fan to hear them all. However, an A Song of Ice and Fire superfan from Turkey is here to help.

So Spoke Martin, The Ultimate Guide to George R.R. Martin's Interviews
Twitter user @kingcrow283 had worked to translate Martin's interviews into Turkish, and now, he's published them into a book. The book, titled So Spoke Martin, is named for a fan-made George R.R. Martin-themed search engine, which @kingcrow283 used to help with their project.
Twitter user @asoiaftr details @kingcrow283's process in the tweet below.

Additionally, @kingcrow283 has complied and translated all of Martin's published sample chapters from the forthcoming, highly anticipated sixth entry in the A Song of Ice and Fire series, The Winds of Winter, into a book. Especially given that Martin has indicated that some of these chapters have since been revised, this collection will serve as a nice way to preserve these chapters in their original forms.
The tweet explaining @kingcrow283's books explains that "these were prepared for himself and a few close friends," and that they "are for personal use only and have no commercial purpose." That makes sense, since otherwise there would be all sorts of legal hurdles these books would likely never clear. But as personal artifacts for a few lucky fans, they're invaluable.
With how many fascinating bits of lore Martin sprinkles into his interviews, having access to all of them in one place will be enormously helpful to superfans trying to learn as much about Westerosi history as possible. Additionally, it would be fascinating to see how much Martin's interview style has changed over time, especially after the publication of more of his books, the release of Game of Thrones, and the show's conclusion, so including all of his interviews in one place can make for an easy way to track his growth in real time.
In addition, keeping all of Martin's interviews in one collection can make it easier to track his progress. Though Martin famously plays things slightly coy when it comes to discussing how future books, such as The Winds of Winter, are coming, he does occasionally offer rough estimates as to how much of the book is currently complete. Given Martin's writing style, these numbers aren't always accurate, as he often goes back and revises his previously written work. However, it can still provide insights into Martin's mind and mood regarding the books, and potentially tip off what novel may be coming next, be it Winds of Winter, a future Dunk and Egg story, or a sequel to Fire and Blood.
Also, Martin's interviews may hold clues to the future of the story itself. With all of his discussions laid out in one place, these superfans may have an easier time figuring out what's to come in future installments of A Song of Ice and Fire. After the eventual publication of The Winds of Winter and its announced sequel, A Dream of Spring, it could be fun to look back at some of Martin's past interviews and see what future events he'd been secretly teasing. Some fans may even already be looking very far back to see if Martin had dropped hints at some of the series' biggest plot twists, such as the infamous Red Wedding, the mutiny against Jon Snow, and even the beheading of Ned Stark back in the first book.
