A few days ago, Prime Video released a new poster for the upcoming third season of Invincible, Prime Video's adaptation of Robert Kirkman's superhero comic. It featured main character Mark Grayson, aka Invincible (Steven Yeun), threatening a bloodied Cecil Stedman (Walton Goggins), the government bureucrat who works with Mark and other superheroes to defend Earth from extraterrestrial threats, and there's a big one on the way: the Viltrumites, from whom Mark descends, are a brutal empire that is spreading across the galaxy. They have their eyes set on Earth, and Mark is one of the only people equipped to stop them.

As we see in the new traile abover, he's training hard to make sure he's capable of doing that, but his relationship with Cecil, who's always willing to cross moral lines in the name of the greater good, is a sticking point. It looks like their relationship reaches a serious impasse. Cecil also had this problem with Mark's Viltrumite father Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons), who is now repenting for his part in Viltrumite's attempts to take over Earth and considering working with Allen the Alien (Seth Rogan) to fight his own people.

Invincible has a lot of balls in the air. There's also Mark's younger half-brother Oliver, who has superpowers himself and who is being raised by Mark's mother Debbie (Sandra Oh). And we get glimpses of Atom Eve (Gillian Jacobs), Rex Splode (Jason Mantzoukas), the Mauler Twins (Kevin Michael Richardson) and the fearsome Battle Beast (Michael Dorn), who kicked the crap out of Mark in season 1. Invincible has always been a good show, but with all of these characters finally established, it looks like it's going to hit the ground running in a big way in season 3.

And Mark gets a new black-and-blue costume, which he thinks might look "a little serious." Invincible will get darker, but there are enough jokes in there to reassure fans that the series won't lose its sense of humor. The fun begins on Amazon Prime Video on February 6. Invincible season 3 will run for eight episodes, but this time there won't be an annoying break between the first and second halves of the season like there was with season 2.

Watch the trailer for Reacher season 3, and other stuff

As long as we're talking about the third seasons of upcoming Prime Video shows, Amazon also dropped a look at the next season of Reacher, about the adventures of hulking, wandering do-gooder Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson).

Reacher is one of the biggest original shows Amazon has yet produced, so this is a big deal. The third season premieres on February 20.

Beyond Amazon, Paramount dropped a trailer for Section 31, a Star Trek movie about the mysterious intelligence organization that does dirty work for the Federation. The movie stars Michelle Yeoh as Philippa Georgiou, a role she originated on Star Trek: Discovery:

Section 31 comes out on Paramount+ on January 24.

Finally, Sony released a cyptic teaser for 28 Years Later, the latest installment in the zombie franchise that started with 28 Days Later back in 2002:

Obviously this trailer isn't giving away much about the movie, but we know 28 Years Later is coming out in theaters on June 20, 2025.
