Fallout, an adaptation of Bethesda's post-apocalyptic video game franchise, was a huge hit when it landed on Prime Video last year. Filming on the second season was delayed a bit by the California wildfires, but is getting underway. The second season of the TV show will take fans to New Vegas, one of the most iconic locations from the games.
Some behind-the-scenes pics from the season 2 shoot are getting fans excited. Redditor ericalm_ posted a bunch of them on the Fallout subreddit, including a shot of the "Welcome to New Vegas" sign, a modification of the real-life "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign. Things change a bit after the world ends.
Cycling through the photos on Reddit, you can also see a sign for The Tops Hotel and Casino, yet another location fans will recognize from Fallout: New Vegas, which came out way back in 2010 but is still considered one of the best games in the series. Mr. House, the industrialist ruler of New Vegas, will also appear in the second season. The producers behind Fallout want to give the fans what they want!
And the hits keep coming: another leaked photo, this one reportedly first appearing on the FalloutFanArt X page, shows a giant model of Dinky the T-Rex, a huge roadside attraction fans can come across in New Vegas. In the game, Dinky can be found in the Dino Dee-lite motel complex off Route 95, and has a sniper's nest built into its jaws.
You'll notice I'm only linking to these images rather than embedding them within the post. The pic of Dinky was taken down from its original source, possibly because Prime Video is going around trying to plug the leaks. They're out there for you to find, but we don't need to draw any unwanted heat, now do we?
However leaky the set, Fallout season 2 will very likely be a hit when it lands on Prime Video, probably sometime in 2026. The first season captured the irreverent humor of the game series while also serving up an exciting story full of memorable characters. They're all coming back for season 2, together with newcomers played by the likes of Macaulay Culkin, an intriguing casting decision if there ever was one. All we have to do is wait.
