With Predator: Killer of Killers, Michael Biehn has faced the Alien, Predator, and Terminator

Michael Biehn is only the third actor in history to appear in all three of these iconic sci-fi horror franchises.

This week, 20th Century Studios unveiled a new trailer for Predator: Killer of Killers, its animated anthology series from Prey director Dan Trachtenberg. This film will show the Predator clashing with various dangerous warriors throughout human history, such as Vikings, ninja, samurai, and World War II fighter pilots. It looks like an awesome time:

Predator: Killer of Killers come out on June 6, and promises to not only show fans how the Predator has interacted with humans throughout their history, but also possibly even tie in to Trachtenberg's upcoming live-action movie Predator: Badlands, which hits theaters in November. It's an exciting year for fans of the Predator franchise.

While many details are still under wraps for the movie, we do know the time periods and characters who will face the Predators in Killer of Killers: "a Viking raider guiding her young son on a bloody quest for revenge, a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his Samurai brother in a brutal battle for succession, and a WWII pilot who takes to the sky to investigate an otherworldly threat to the Allied cause."

This latest trailer also identified some of the actors providing their voice talents to the movie, including Lindsay LaVanchy, Louis Ozawa, Rick Gonzalez, and Michael Biehn.

Now, if you've been watching sci-fi horror movies for years, one of those names might have made you sit up a little straighter: Michael Biehn. Biehn is an icon in that field; he played Corporal Hicks in Aliens as well as time-traveling soldier Kyle Reese in the original Terminator movie. Biehn has appeared in a number of other sci-fi projects over the years, but this is his first time appearing in the Predator franchise. It's a huge get for Killer of Killers and also a perfect fit for this series.

Michael Biehn joins Bill Paxton and Lance Henrikson as only actors to face the big three iconic sci-fi horror monsters

Another reason that Biehn's involvement in Predator: Killer of Killers is so exciting to me is that this means he has faced off against a Xenomorph, a Terminator, and now a Predator. We don't know who Biehn is playing yet in Killer of Killers, but presumably he's a human. My guess is he's a general or some kind of commanding officer in the World War II segment. Although wouldn't it be wild if he provided the guttural grunts and alien language of a Predator itself?

Assuming that Biehn's character is a human, that means he's one of only three actors to share the screen with all three of those iconic sci-fi creatures. The others are Lance Henriksen and Bill Paxton, Biehn's co-stars from Aliens. Paxton played Private Hudson in the movie, as well as a street punk in The Terminator and Detective Jerry Lambert in Predator 2. In all three instances, Paxton's characters died a gruesome death onscreen at the hands of each movie's respective monster. Sadly, Paxton passed away in real life in 2017, so we don't know how he would react to his co-star and friend matching his record.

As for Henrikson, he's appeared in several Alien movies. He first appeared in the second movie as the android Bishop, the third movie as the remodeled android Bishop II, and Weyland company founder Charles Bishop Weyland in Alien vs. Predator. AvP also counts for Henriksen's Predator role, since both creatures appeared in that crossover movie. And in The Terminator, he played Detective Hal Vukovich.

Predator: Killer of Killers premieres June 6 on Hulu. Hopefully we find out more about Michael Biehn's role in the film soon.
