7. Margaery’s Married Gown

After wedding Tommen, Margaery wanted to make sure everyone knew who was queen now. More importantly, she wanted to make sure everyone knew she and Tommen were a unit. The Tyrell blue is banished, not just from her own outfits, but from her maids’ as well. (Only one or two still have a touch of the Tyrell color as an accent, but it’s striking how fast they all switched to gold.) More importantly, unlike her maids, Margaery isn’t even wearing the Tyrell silhouette. She’s taken on the southron style of gown, the same way Sansa swapped wholesale after arriving in King’s Landing back in Season 1. But it’s not a total Cersei knock-off gown. After all, Cersei wore red and gold, the colors of House Lannister. Margaery is very deliberately in gold and brown, as befitting the Baratheon last name she knows perfectly well is as false as the smile she has on her face in this picture.
