This death falls on the end of the list because it’s a cheat. It’s not a death, it’s a lesson to Arya about opening her mind and her eyes to what she’s really walked into. Arya is a stubborn soul—she went to the House of Black and White to learn to be an assassin because she wanted revenge for the wrongs that had been done to her and her family. But the order she’s joined is much more powerful and mysterious than she imagined, and not something to be treated as a means to an end. Let’s hope the lessons stick this time, so that Jaqen isn’t stuck drinking poison on a regular basis.
