David Tennant Creeps into New Jessica Jones Teaser Trailer

The latest television project from former Doctor Who star David Tennant is amping up its promotions, and the new teaser trailer for Marvel’s Jessica Jones gives us our first glimpse at Tennant in action — er, his voice anyway.

Krysten Ritter stars in the Netflix original series as the titular Jessica Jones, a retired superhero-turned-private eye. Tennant appears as Kilgrave (AKA Purple Man), a villain from Jones’ past that re-emerges to terrorize her once more. Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Jessica Jones also shares the same Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood as Marvel’s Daredevil.

Netflix has been teasing the project for the last week by releasing a series of short (less than a minute) trailers every few days. While the trailers thus far have understandably focused on Ms. Jones herself, a new teaser today brings Tennant’s creepy Kilgrave to the forefront:

All thirteen episodes of the first season of Marvel’s Jessica Jones will arrive on Netflix November 20. If it’s anywhere near as good as Daredevil, we’re in for a treat (and a decidely different turn from the Tenth Doctor).
