There may not be much to currently report for Doctor Who the show, but there are sundry happenings in the world of Doctor Who comics.
In our recent report about the upcoming Wizard World Comic Con Doctor Who related appearances, we included information about various comic artists. Among them is Rachael Stott of Titan Comics, who will be appearing at both the St. Louis, MO and Austin, TX events. We are mentioning her in particular here because she recently tweeted about receiving an awesome piece of fan art from Peter Capaldi.
"“To Rachael, what an incrible (sic) artist you are. Thank you so much for making my Doctor who he is. You’ll never know how large a part you played. Love, light and peace.”"
Stott told Metro:
"I’m a really big fan of Doctor Who, especially the Twelfth Doctor – who is my favourite. His incarnation reinvigorated my love of the show.I think Peter Capaldi’s performance is amazing. In the most recent series he delivered some of the best scenes we’ve ever seen on Who.. . .It was a complete surprise and out of the blue to receive the card and I’m really touched. It’s definitely getting framed!"
Speaking of Titan Comics, according to Nerd Reactor:
"Titan Comics have announced their third annual global Doctor Who Comics Day! This year’s event will take place on Saturday, July 9th, 2016.The all-day event will take place all over the world at multiple locations including comic shops, bookstores, retail chains, and libraries."
