At Wizard World NYC 2016, Doctor Who’s David Tennant and Matt Smith explained what they each envision to be the best use of a day with a TARDIS.
Two months ago, we posted an article titled ‘Doctor Who and Tapping into the Subconscious,’ on the topic of the appeal of having the ability to go back in time to experience — and perhaps even change — events.

Earlier today, we posted an article titled ‘Wizard World NYC 2016 – David Tennant and Matt Smith Discuss Playing the Doctor.’ Immediately after this segment of the question and answer session, the source video choppily jumps to the middle of a segment with Smith and Tennant apparently answering the question of what their ideal TARDIS day trip would be.
"Smith: . . . I think watching [England] win the World Cup in 1966. And then I’d go and see some dinosaurs, get Sinatra to sing, kick him out, and take Marilyn Monroe to the moon or something.Tennant: You’ve thought that through! You’ve scheduled your day!Smith: I’ve had a lot of alone time in Cardiff. Remember when I bumped into you in Cardiff on the way to a night shoot… by chance?Tennant: Yeah.Smith: That was weird, wasn’t it? I was like “Woah! David Tennant’s in Cardiff!”"
Anyway, the mediator, Aaron Sagers, went on to prompt Tennant for his answer to the question:
"Well, no pressure, but he clearly had a good answer.Tennant: I know, you’ve got a much better answer than me. I always say, that the thing I would do is I’d go back to the Globe Theatre to see like Hamlet the first time it was put on and see if they remember their lines, and sort of find all the plays that are missing and all that. But I’d also like to go back to The Cavern and see The Beatles play before anyone knew who they were. You wanna be at those moments in history that sort of — and then, of course, obviously I’d spend the rest of the day going back through time sorting things out and, you know, bringing world peace and all that kind of stuff."
