Doctor Who: Missy’s Vague Plans for Bill

Thus far, there have not been any rumors about Missy’s return to Doctor Who for Series Ten. However, she has some ideas as to what she would do with the Doctor’s newest companion.

One of the joys of watching Missy and Clara interact during their time together on Doctor Who involved how much the Time Lady would torment the Doctor’s companion. In her subtle way, she delighted in putting Clara in uncomfortable situations, all the while working on hatching her diabolical plans.

With that being the case, one could imagine the ideas she would have for Bill, the Doctor’s newest companion. Given that Bill is not aware of the Doctor, nor his accomplishments, it should be easy for Missy to come up with various ways to create havoc and toy with the neophyte.

Instead, Michelle Gomez has a different idea. When asked as to what Missy would likely do to Bill, Gomez said that she didn’t have any ideas, and that it was up to Steven Moffat to create the scenarios. However, she did indicate one potential action, wanting to give Bill a big hug. Well, that’s not so evil or diabolical, is it? Unless, of course, being friendly when meeting Bill is part of a plan to ease her mind, setting her up for some cunning plot later on.

Of course, this is also contingent on Missy being around in Series Ten. Gomez refused to give any indication as to whether or not she would be returning, but given he incredible chemistry with Peter Capaldi and the excellent pairing that is Missy and the Twelfth Doctor, one would hope that she will remain a part of Doctor Who for as long as Capaldi remains on the show.

Michelle Gomez may not be certain of what will happen should Missy meet Bill, but based on her thoughts, it could be a warm greeting. At least, until she gets Bill in trouble to serve her own purposes.
