Doctor Who: Matt Lucas Spotted on Series Ten Set
By Leah Tedesco
In Cardiff on Monday, June 20th, Matt Lucas began filming his scenes as Nardole for Series Ten of Doctor Who. Some fantastic pictures of his time on set have been released.
When last we saw Nardole in fleshy tact, he was about to have his head harvested by King Hydroflax’s mechanical body. What a fine “thank you for your service” after being so diligent in his work for the royal couple. It was understandable, however, considering that Hydroflax had discovered River Song’s plot to murder him. Anyway, despite still technically being alive, it was easy to imagine that Nardole would not return after that one appearance… The restaurant business can be a busy one, and his is quite popular. So, when it was announced that Matt Lucas would be reprising his endearingly comedic role in Series Ten, it came as quite a surprise to many.

Based on a report from the BBC, we now know that he will not only be back for Christmas, but for more of this coming season’s episodes. Lucas has already been seen filming with Peter Capaldi and Pearl Mackie, wearing the already iconic brown jacket and black pants that we saw Nardole wearing during the previous Christmas special. Pictures can be seen at the Daily Mail Online and Wales Online. But where is his multicolor winter hat? If he is to be around for the winter wonderland, he will certainly need all the warmth that he can get. There are many more questions surrounding his return beyond this, which we discussed in an article from last week.
