Doctor Who is filming for Series Ten at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain.

Since Series Ten of Doctor Who began filming in June, we have gotten a good amount of behind the scenes footage from the set. It started at Cardiff University with a single photo and a video featuring Pearl Mackie (Bill), followed by a massive image dump, some more images when Matt Lucas (Nardole) joined the gang, a video featuring him, and then a selfie of Lucas, Mackie, and Capaldi.

Today, the Doctor Who team is in Valencia, Spain. They are there to film footage for episode two of Series Ten. The official Doctor Who Twitter account shared an image of Mackie and Peter Capaldi taking a selfie.

Here is the image of Mackie holding her phone (with what appears to be a spacey wacey case) high as she and Capaldi smile for the camera:

In the background, a small portion of the City of Arts and Sciences is visible. According to their website, the “unique complex” — which is “devoted to scientific and cultural dissemination” —  “covers an area of 350,000 square meters” and is “made up of five main elements.” These elements are,

"“the Hemisfèric (IMAX cinema and digital projections), the Umbracle (a landscaped vantage point and car park), the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum (an innovative centre of interactive science), the Oceanográfico (the largest aquarium in Europe with over 500 marine species) and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía (which takes care of the operatic programme).”"

There is also “the Ágora gives the complex a multifunctional space.” The cast and crew must be having a blast. The complex is now on my bucket list.
