Some Cool New Doctor Who Merchandise Coming Soon
It has been a fantastic time for Doctor Who merchandise lately. Here are just a few of the new items.
First we have, from the BBC, a 3D Twelfth Doctor Crystal TARDIS with a blue LED base for an extra awesome effect. I have dubbed it “The Doc Crystal” with full knowledge of how bad the pun is. Go to Action Figure Insider’s Facebook page to watch the TARDIS in all of its slowly rotating glory (rotation device not included). According to the Doctor Who Official Shop, only five hundred pieces will be produced. It costs $99.98, is available for pre-order, and will ship the last week of September.Twelfth Doctor Crystal TARDIS (credit: BBC)
A set of action figures of all thirteen Doctors in a TARDIS display box by Underground Toys could be found at their Comic-Con booth. You can pre-order the set for $124.99 at Big Bad Toy Store. It is “estimated to arrive August 2016.”Thirteen Doctors TARDIS Box Set (credit: Underground Toys)
Funko Pop! has revealed their latest batch of vinyl Doctor Who adorableness, which will be available in September. The list includes:
- Tenth Doctor in blue pinstripe suit with his hand in a preservation jar
- Eleventh Doctor as Mr. Clever
- War Doctor
- Twelfth Doctor with guitar and sonic sunglasses
Go to David Tennant News for a handy list with pictures, as well as links for pre-order. They all sell for $10.99 at Entertainment Earth, except for the super sized Davros, which is $14.99.
And now to switch gears, Doctor Who: The Official Cookbook — written by Joanna Farrow and published by BBC Books — will be released in hardcover on August 11th and is currently available for pre-order on Amazon for $14.02. The book contains forty recipes inspired by Doctor Who such as Fish Fingers and Custard, Salt and Pepper Sontarans, Ood Rolls, Cassandra Pizza, Cyberman Pie, Zygon Pie, Supreme Dalek Cake, Weeping Angel Food Cake, Gingerbread TARDIS, and 12 Cookie Doctors. This publication is the perfect resource for catering a Doctor Who themed event.Doctor Who The Official Cookbook (credit: BBC)
