17. Tyrion in Meereen
Tyrion’s had a rough go of it—not just in the series, but in the clothing department. This was partly deliberate. Michele Clapton always made him look a little awkward and uncomfortable in his Lannister gear, even when he was Hand of the King. This ended in Season 6. Tyrion Lannister came into his own this year, even though, as usual, there were periods where he was having difficulty fitting in.
But the point is that he’s found his way. Unlike his time as Hand in King’s Landing, here he’s earned the title of Hand of the Queen, and the clothes reflect that. You can see it in how comfortable he finally looks. The Meereenese brocade vest fits like a glove and the pants look like they were made for him. Just like the pin Dany literally had fashioned for him. He’s where he belongs now. Let’s hope he takes that inner peace with him all the way back to King’s Landing.
