15. Jaime in Lannister Armor

If you’re a soldier going into battle, you want to be on Team Lannister. As befitting the richest House in Westeros, their armor is the most impressive. From the huge lion crests carved on the shoulders and elbows, to the red and gold paint, to the helmets, with the face that swings open on hinges, they are a stunning sight, marching into battle or down the road in a column, as we saw on the way to Riverrun.

It’s a look we’ve seen on Tywin, Tyrion, and Joffrey over the course of the early seasons. However, it fell away as the Lannisters all hunkered down in King’s Landing starting in Season 3. One of the major bonuses of the High Sparrow’s play to remove Jaime from the Kingsguard was the chance for the show to bring that armor look back, as they sent Cersei’s brother to Riverrun to shut down the Blackfish’s Rebellion. It’s a good look for him—let’s hope he gets to wear it more in Season 7.
