Game of Thrones Screencap Breakdown: “The Spoils of War” Trailer

The music surges, and the quick-cutting begins. The first shot is of Jaime on his white horse accompanying the Lannister army.

Jon Snow lighting a torch from a brazier. Is he beneath Dragonstone, perhaps in the dragonglass mines everybody’s talking about?

Pod bites floor. The poor guy got hammered by Brienne of Tarth when Tormund oogled her during a previous session. Is this practice time again, or is he in a life-or-death battle?

Theon leads a platoon of Ironborn as they drag a boat ashore. He looks like he’s recovered from his hypothermia, but what’s his mental condition?

Jon leads Daenerys and Missandei into a cavern, probably leading the way with the torch we just saw him light. This has got to be those dragonglass mines.

Littlefinger turns his head, but we have no idea what he’s looking at. He looks intense.

Brienne of Tarth slashes something or somebody. She appears to be handling a sparring sword, indicating she’s probably hard at practice again. Once again: poor Pod.

In another glorious shot, Arya sees Winterfell on the horizon. Finally.

Sansa in command at Winterfell, doing her homework. Let’s hope that’s enough to keep things under control.

Drogon. Ah, mighty Drogon. Daenerys is aboard and looking to unleash hell. Will mounting her dragon turn her luck around?
