Back at Dragonstone, Dany knocks over her Dornish figurine, symbolizing their removal from the game. “You sunk my battleship!”

Notice how much emptier the room is now than her last big war council.

Frustrated, Dany wants to fly around on her dragons and destroy Euron’s fleet. Tyrion points out that they don’t even know where Euron is, which is a  better point than he realizes.

But whatever the setbacks for Team Targaryen, the assault on Casterly Rock is still a go. Below, we see figurines representing Lannister soldiers and the Unsullied. As we are about to learn, there should actually be fewer lion figurines and more Greyjoy krakens

As Tyrion narrates, we get our first-ever look at Casterly Rock

Lannister soldiers are ready for the Unsullied assault.

Grey Worm and the Unsullied approach the castle by sea…

…and we get some splendid shots of Dany’s soldiers attacking it from the land.

As Tyrion predicts, many die.

But the real point of the attack is to allow Grey Worm and a small team to sneak into the castle via a secret passage Tyrion had built to smuggle in whores.

We even get a look at Tyrion’s love shack.

Peek a boo!

Once inside, Team Grey Worm kills the guard and lets his fellows in from the inside.

And in they pour, a tide of eunuchs!

Casterly Rock quickly falls from within, and there are minimal casualties among Dany’s forces.

Grey Worm gets some good licks in, having finally learned to use his spear in tight hallways.

Things go worse for the Lannisters.

A shot of Casterly Rock from within:

But it was all a trap. Jaime had already emptied the castle of most of its forces, and had arranged for the fleet the Unsullied took here to get attacked.

And now Grey Worm is shook.

Euron’s behind the sea ambush, naturally. Look how monstrous the Silence looks — it dwarfs the other ships around it.

Meanwhile, in the Reach, we catch up with the bulk of the Lannister army.

The Lannisters have hooked up with the Tarlys (and Bronn!) and look ready for battle.

Their target? Highgarden. That’s our second new castle of the week.

Olenna Tyrell watches the Lannister army approach, high up in Highgarden.

After what appears to have been an easy victory, Jaime marches into Highgarden, intent on a meeting with the lady of the house. We get a quick tour of the interior while he searches for her.

Olenna sits, awaiting Jaime’s arrival. She’s read the writing on the wall.

Jaime pours the pair some wine, a friendly gesture, or so it seems.

Olenna and Jaime discuss the weather, if the weather is your relationship with your no good sister.

This wide shot is beautiful, and disarmingly casual, considering the gravity of what’s about to happen.

Jaime stands up, ready to deliver the coup de grace. In this case, it takes the form of poison.

Olenna, to her credit, downs it all in one gulp.

After drinking the poison, Olenna reveals that it was she who killed Joffrey, robbing Jaime of the much more painful death he likely would have inflicted on her if she had revealed that info beforehand. Olenna wants Cersei to know.

Jaime, naturally, is shocked by the news.

Jaime leaves Olenna to her fate, and does not retaliate. Olenna sits alone, her house and family at an end. Just like this episode.

We’ll be back next week with a screencap recap of “The Spoils of War.”
