HBO’s Official 2018 Programming Preview Trailer Includes Westworld Footage
HBO’s Official 2018 programming preview trailer is filled with clips for upcoming shows. But, we know you’re hear for the Westworld footage, so we’ll cut to the chase. The footage begins at the 1:11 mark of the video, with clips from the SDCC 217 trailer. We see Dolores is atop her horse, mowing down people with her rife alongside Teddy.
There are a couple quick cuts, which show footage of the Man in Black (Ed Harris) with Lawrence (Clifton Collins Jr.). We then see Dolores gazing into the distance, right before Maeve (Thandie Newton) shoves a gun in Lee’s (Simon Quarterman) face. The Westworld Season 2 title card is thrown in as well, which shows Dolores and Teddy on their horses.
The final clip was pulled straight from the Season 1 finale, but, in fairness, it was one of the best moments in the show. Right before she killed Ford, Dolores walks up to Teddy and says: “This world doesn’t belong to them. It belongs to us.” It might not be new footage, but this clip sets the tone for the upcoming season.
Based on what we know about Season 2, it looks like the park will be thrown into chaos. We don’t know to what extent, but it looks like all hell has broken loose. Hopefully, we will learn more about Westworld Season 2 in the coming months.
Westworld Season 2 will premiere Spring 2018.
